Does cMyC have the potential to replace High-Sensitive Troponin?

ESC cMyC Webinar

The cardiac-specific structural biomarker, cardiac Myosin-binding Protein C (cMyC) levels rise more quickly than High-Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin T and Troponin I (hs-cTnT and hs-cTnI) after an Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI). This means that cMyC could possibly safely rule out significantly more patients at first blood draw than hs-cTnT and hs-cTnI.

The question “Does cMyC have the potential to replace High-Sensitive Troponin?” could be raised after the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) webinar regarding cMyC “A new diagnostic marker on the horizon- cMyC” on October 27th, 2021.
